On the way through the permanent exhibition, we will “meet” young people from Vienna who have lived in “Our City!” at different times. Did they feel at home here? Could Jewish boys and girls in Vienna in the 1940s just be young and go for a walk? Did they possibly have to leave their homeland and could not or did not want to return? How was it for those who returned? What did pupils of the Zwi Perez Chajes High School write in the1980s about Vienna in their essays? And why do Jewish children sometimes play tag on Judenplatz today?
